The public sees the road before you do.

Community reports, Marqed to where the hazard is, timestamped at capture. A ground-level picture of what's happening on New Zealand roads — before it becomes a fatality statistic.

For Waka Kotahi — Road to Zero

Road to Zero is built on the premise that deaths and serious injuries are preventable. Community reporting is part of that system — but only if the report reaches someone useful. GeoMarqr gives community members a frictionless way to Marq what they're seeing: a sun glare blackspot, gravel spill, damaged signage, a flooded dip.

GeoMarqr was built after spending time on the East Coast during Cyclone Gabrielle — roads cut, no signal, crews driving to the wrong place. The same information gap that costs lives in an emergency costs lives on rural roads every week. Community members see the hazard. The right people don't hear about it in time.

What it adds to Road to Zero

  • Frictionless community reporting

No account, no training, no barrier. A community member sees a hazard and takes a photo. That's the whole interaction. The GeoMarqr is accurate and the report exists — before your call centre hears about it.

  • Live corridor view for regional managers

Pro tier gives your regional highway managers a live view of their corridor — community-reported conditions arriving before the call comes in. Gravel spill on SH2? Someone's already Marqed it.

  • Spatial safety intelligence for data teams

LowCode NZ connects GeoMarqr data to RapidMiner. Where are hazard reports clustering? Which intersections, which road types, which weather conditions? That feeds directly into Road to Zero investment decisions.

  • The flier programme

International tourists are over-represented in NZ crash statistics because they don't know NZ roads. A co-branded road etiquette flier at every rental counter turns the least-informed driver into a useful set of eyes.

Built for when things aren't working.

No reception on site? That's fine. GeoMarqr holds onto the photo until you're back in range, then uploads from the original location. The pin is always accurate — whether you reconnected five minutes later or drove two hours to get signal.

  • Works through power outages
  • Works in dead zones
  • Works when things aren't working

Eyes on site are invaluable. GeoMarqr makes sure those eyes count.

Zero is the only acceptable number.

Community reporting is how you find the ones that haven't happened yet.
