How to delete your account in the app

You can delete your GeoMarqr account at any time from within the app. No email required — the option is available to any signed-in user.

1. Open the GeoMarqr app and sign in.
2. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Tap Settings (gear icon, top right).
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
5. Read the confirmation prompt, then tap Delete permanently to confirm.

Your account and associated personal data will be queued for deletion immediately. See Timeline below for when each type of data is removed.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at hi@geomarqr.com from the address registered to your account. Include "Account deletion request" in the subject line. We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm by email once complete.

What is deleted

When you delete your account, the following personal data is permanently removed:

• Email address and authentication tokens.
• Account profile — display name, preferences, and settings.
• Upload history — the list of reports linked to your account.
• Subscription records — your plan history and billing association (payment card data is held by our payment processor; see below).

What is retained

Some data may be retained after account deletion for the reasons described below:

• Anonymised report content. Photos, GPS coordinates, and timestamps you submitted are decoupled from your account and may be retained in anonymised form for aggregate analytics and map history. This data cannot be traced back to you after deletion.
• Active public map reports. Reports that are currently displayed on the public map remain visible until they expire (five days from when the photo was taken). After expiry they are removed from the map in the normal course.
• Payment records. Our third-party payment processor retains transaction records for the period required by applicable financial regulations. We do not control this retention. We do not store full card numbers.
• Legal obligations. We may retain records required by law, regulation, or valid legal process even after account deletion.

Timeline

• Immediate. You are signed out and can no longer access your account or history.
• Within 30 days. Your email address, authentication tokens, profile data, and account-linked upload history are permanently deleted from our systems.
• Within 90 days. Deletion is propagated across all backup systems.
