Who we are

GeoMarqr is a product of Mothertrucking Limited, a New Zealand company with roots in logistics and transport. The enterprise data infrastructure is built and operated by LowCode NZ, a Siemens partner.

What we collect — and when

Anonymous tier (no account)

When you submit a report without an account, we collect:

• The photo you take.
• GPS coordinates captured at the moment the photo was taken, not at upload time.
• Timestamp of when the photo was taken.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information. We do not require any account. We do not link your report to your device in any way that we retain after upload.

Free account tier

Creating an account requires an email address and password. In addition to photo, GPS, and timestamp data, we associate your reports with your account so you can review your upload history.

Subscription and Enterprise tiers

Account holders on paid plans have access to additional features. We collect the same data as the free account tier, plus payment information processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

How your data is used

• Public map display. All reports — anonymous or account-linked — are displayed on the public GeoMarqr map. Anyone using GeoMarqr can see reports submitted in a given area.
• Offline queuing. If you submit a report without connectivity, the photo and GPS coordinates are stored locally on your device until upload. We do not access your device storage beyond this queued data.
• Account history. If you have an account, we use your report data to populate your personal upload history. We do not use this data for advertising.
• Enterprise analytics. Enterprise Data tier subscribers can query anonymised historical report data across all reports. Individual reports are anonymised before inclusion in aggregate datasets — they cannot be traced to a specific user or anonymous session.

How long we keep your data

• Public map. Reports are visible on the public map for five days from the time the photo was taken. After five days, the report is removed from the map automatically.
• Anonymous reports. After removal from the map, anonymous reports are not linked to any account. They may be retained in anonymised form for aggregate analytics purposes.
• Account reports. If you have an account, your reports remain accessible in your history after they leave the public map. You can delete your history at any time from within the app.
• Account data. If you delete your account, your personal data (email, upload history) is deleted within 30 days. Anonymised report data may be retained.

Location data

GeoMarqr requests access to your device's GPS only at the moment you take a photo. We do not track your location in the background, and we do not collect continuous location data. The GPS coordinates stored with a report reflect where you were when the photo was taken.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data to third parties. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Public map. All submitted reports are visible on the public map by design. This is the core function of GeoMarqr.
• Infrastructure providers. We use cloud infrastructure to store and serve data. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements.
• Payment processing. Paid tier billing is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card details.
• LowCode NZ. GeoMarqr is a LowCode NZ product. LowCode NZ may access anonymised aggregate data for product development and analytics. Individual report data is not shared beyond the uses described above.
• Legal requirements. We will disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process.

Cookies and tracking

GeoMarqr uses minimal cookies necessary for session management on the web platform. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not use cross-site tracking.

Your rights

If you are based in New Zealand, you have rights under the Privacy Act 2020, including the right to request access to personal information we hold about you and to request correction of that information.

Children

GeoMarqr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of GeoMarqr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
